Vayots Dzor marz is in the south of Armenia and the major part of its territory consists of high lands covered with forests. Yeghegya and Arpa rivers run along the marz. The monastic Complex of Noravank (XII – XVI century) is in the canyon of Noravank in the south part of the region.The place is rich with flora, medical herbes, wild fruits, and with different species of animals. There is also a national park containing the caves of particular speleological interest. The centre of marz is Eghegnadzor which is on the Left Bank of Arpa river. In Yeghegnadzor there are monuments preserved from the I millennium av. J.C in XVII s. There are also galleries of art, parks and an University which is newly celebrated its 700th birthday. Jermuk is a small city of summer stations with cool summers and soft winters encircled by forests and by Alpine meadows.
1st day
Arrival, transfer from the airport to the hotel.
2nd day
Tour in Yerevan city. Visit of Matenadaran.
In the afternoon excursion to the pagan tample of Garni, Monastery of Geghard.
Night in Yerevan.
3rd day
Departure to Jermuk. Khor Virap Monastery, Vine tasting in the Arenie village. Excursion to Noravank Monastery.
Optional excursion to Gndevank.
Stay in the hotel in Jermuk.
4th day
Excursion to Sissian. Hiking to the waterfall of Shaki.
Visit to Zorats Karer. Return to Jermuk.
Hiking. Night in the hotel in Jermuk.
5th day
Return to Yerevan. Dinner and a night in Yerevan.
Free time for shopping in Vernissage.
6th day
Excursion to Ejmiatsin, participation in holy mass in Cathedral of Ejmiatsin. Visit to the church St Gayaneh and St Hripsime, Cathedral of St. Andchmiatsin.
Visit to the temple Zvartnots. Return to Yerevan.
Vernissage: markand of souvenir.
7th day
City tour. Parajanov Museum. Museum of history.
8th day
Seeing off in the airport. Departure.
